About Caitlin

Caitlin is an experienced attorney with a focus on charitable organizations, trusts, and taxation. She advises clients on nonprofit governance matters, tax policy and compliance, and settlement administration. She works with foundations, cultural institutions, and other nonprofit organizations on charitable planning questions including donor relations and gift acceptance best practices. She has worked on cy pres petitions that aim to achieve the organization’s needs while remaining true to the donor’s intentions. She has also worked with clients to create nonprofits as well as private foundations, including obtaining 501(c)(3) status.

Caitlin also manages the implementation of creative settlement solutions for clients, including trust administration matters that encompass notifying beneficiaries, distributing trust assets, and managing trust accounting and reporting obligations. Caitlin was formerly a partner in the trusts and estates practice of a prominent New England law firm. Caitlin has worked in the General Counsel’s office for the National Endowment for the Humanities as well as for Reeves Center (the museum and art collection at her alma mater) and was a summer associate with Cultural Heritage Partners while in law school.
